Venues
We started out of one centre in the South Side of Glasgow and quite quickly outgrew it, with over 85 participants and the season starting in earnest we were told in no uncertain terms that although the money we provided was a great earner we were no longer able to have the agreement that we signed on for honoured so we had to look for alternative venues to spread the load.
As we mostly play in or around the glasgow area we have two prefered venues; the Cockburn Centre & the Academy at Scotstoun as they are the premier venues for Badminton in Scotland both within two miles of each other. One on the South side of Glasgow and the other on the North side.
Please feel free to play in whatever venue you would like to but each will have differeing costs associated with it, as long as you agree the venue before hand we do not mind where you play as we are not the ones making money form the league!
Cockburn Prices 2009/2010 Season
The Season runs from 1st September 2009 until 31st August 2010, you will need to be a member of the centre in order to play games there or book a court, memberships and courts are priced at:
- Memberships for one year are priced at £20.00.
- Lunchtime courts 12:00 - 14:00 £2.50 per hour
- Afternoon courts 14:30 - 17:30 £4.80 per hour
- Evening courts 17:30 - 22:30 £7.30 per hour
Culture & Sport Prices 2009/2010 Season
At the present time we have no indication of the requirements or not of being a member to be able to book a court, likewise we are not 100% sure about the costs per court based on their pricings
